Karch 6th. 1917.
His Excellency,
Sir 7. E. Hay, X.0.X.J.
sir,
I have the honour to request that my salary sa Head Master of this School be increased to a Soale équivalent to that of the Head Master of the Ellis Kadoerie School, viz. 2540 to 2600 per ani
Før educational purposes these two Schools are identical, and the attendance differs but little.
For some years this School has been full, and had the exten- sien which was contemplated and provided for in 1914 been carried out, this would have been the largest School of its kind in the Colony, At the present time all available seats are occupied,
Past experience appears to be a potent factor in determining the initial falary in some of the recent appointments to the teaching Staff in this Department,
I respectfully beg to bring to Your Excellency's notice the fact that I have had 28 years' experience as a Teacher, sixteen of which I spent in Schools at home, - the last wight as a Head Kaster – and took up my present appointment under this woveriment with a thorough knowledge of all that appertains to a School.
The Animal Reports of the Director of Education have contain- ed no adverse criticimus, and without exception, have been highly satisfactory.
I have the humour to be.
Sir,
Your obedient servant,
Alfred Morris
